EIC STEP Scale Up
EIC STEP Scale Up is an equity-only investment instrument under the Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform, not a non-repayable grant. It targets scale-up of high-risk innovation in technologies the EU classifies as critical: digital and deep-tech, clean and net-zero technologies, and biotechnologies including critical medicines. It requires a qualified investor already committed to at least 20% of the target funding round. It is a rolling call, open since 6 November 2025.
