This Horizon Europe Cluster 6 topic funds testing feed additives that cut methane emissions from ruminant livestock without harming productivity or animal welfare. The scope also requires a standardised data-collection system compliant with EU/EFSA rules, and an analysis of consumer attitudes toward these additives. Trials must cover at least large ruminants and include both conventional and extensive or organic farming systems. The budget is €6.0 million per project, with 2 projects expected, for €12 million in total. Projects can start at any technology readiness level and are expected to reach TRL 7.
