This Horizon Europe Cluster 5 topic funds demonstration of concentrated solar thermal systems, operating at 150-400°C, to supply heat for industrial processes such as drying, melting, sterilising and refrigeration. The quantitative target is covering at least 50% of a site's annual heat demand with solar energy, backed by a demonstrated economic case. The scope requires a go/no-go milestone before the rollout phase, with permits, engineering plans and a business plan already in place. The budget is €6.0 million per project, with 2 projects expected, for €12 million in total. The expected outcome by project end is TRL 7.
