This Horizon Europe Cluster 4 topic funds advanced materials or industrial processes that replace or reduce the use of critical and strategic raw materials, in sectors such as energy, mobility, construction, electronics, medical devices or chemicals. Projects must apply the Safe and Sustainable by Design framework and share data with the common European platform on chemicals. The scope requires demonstrating concrete use cases and an adoption pathway into the target supply chains, including identifying the barriers to substitution. The budget is €6.0-7.5 million per project, with 6 projects expected, for €36 million in total. Projects are expected to start at TRL 5 and reach TRL 7 by the end.
